News:
CORRECTION TO NEWS-TIMES ARTICLE
The NewsTimes article (January26) “Davidson discusses state of Brookfield at chamber meeting” inaccurately stated information regarding upcoming capital projects. These projects, known as the Brookfield Reinvestment Program, involve approximately $5 million for recreation facility renovations and approximately $10 million for road improvements. The recreational facility work will be a complete renovation of Cadigan Park and Town Beach, a brand-new Kids Kingdom and funding that will enable the Still River Greenway (a walking, jogging and bike trail) to be built. The road improvements, which will be a five to seven year project, will rebuild and repave many miles of Town roads.
The article mentions “renovation of the auditorium” which is incorrect and not in any way part of the Brookfield Reinvestment Program. A Town Meeting is being planned for February 22 in the high school auditorium to present this Brookfield Reinvestment Program to the residents.
