He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of town government. The Board of Selectmen is the Town’s legislative body. It consists of the First Selectman plus two Selectmen. Their duties include appointments to Boards & Commissions, reviewing and recommending of funding requests, and the calling of Public Hearings & Town Meetings. They meet on the first Monday of each month.
