The Town of Brookfield Human Resources Department is responsible for administering and supervising all aspects of a comprehensive human resources program and leading information system improvement plans. The Human Resource Director is responsible for leading performance improvement initiatives and a high priority is placed on improving productivity and the overall quality performance of the Town government.
The Human Resources Director is the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator for the Town.
The Americans With Disabilities Act, signed into law on July 26, 1990 defines the rights of persons with disabilities to full participation in the mainstream of American life.
The Town of Brookfield is committed to the compliance of the provisions of the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 as they apply to municipalities. As such, the Town has an ADA Grievance Procedure that may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in employment practices and policies or the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by the Town of Brookfield.
In addition to the services mentioned above, Human Resources works in conjunction with the Volunteer Center of Danbury to facilitate community service hours provided to the Town.
