Sat - Sun              18th Annual Model Train Exhibition at the Brookfield                  

                              Museum at the intersection of Routes 25 and 133

                              Brookfield Center 10AM to 5PM. Admission: Adults

                              $4- Seniors  and Society Members $3 – Ages 7 thru 14

April 14               Brookfield Historical Society hosts a Civil War forum

Monday               on  the 1864 Atlanta Campaign with lecture and video 

                             presentation by David Montgomery at 7:30 PM at the 

                             Brookfield Museum, intersection of Routes 25 and 133.

                             Complimentary refreshments will be served and

April 20               Brookfield Historical Society hosts power point 

Sunday               presentation on the famed Brookfield Ironworks

                            District’s  History given by noted historian and author

                            Bill Devlin at the Brookfield Library, 182 Whisconier 

                            Road (Rt. 25) at 2 P.M. Admission is free with

April 23              Brookfield Historical Society host a lecture 

Wednesday         at 7:30 P.M. at the Museum by noted

                            historical author Marty Podskoch on the History, Lore

                            and Legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps Camps

                            in Connecticut. Admission is free and

                            Degrazia’s winery will be serving complimentary

                            “Brookfield Attic”. Complimentary refreshments will

May 25               Brookfield Historical Society hosts annual Strawberry

Sunday               Festival following Memorial Day parade from noon to 4

                            P.M. at intersection of Rts. 25 and 133. Admission free.

                            Soft drinks and strawberry short cake on sale. Jazz

July 20               Brookfield Historical Society hosts living history

Sunday              presentation and home movies on Brookfield

                           History from 1920 thru 1950. Guest speaker is Society

                           member and long time resident Raymond Waidelich.

                           The presentation will be at the Brookfield Library, 182

                           Whisconier Rd. (Rt 25) at 2 P.M. Complimentary          

                           refreshments will be available. Admission free. For

August 27         The Brookfield Historical Society will host a lecture and

Wednesday       visual presentation on the Brookfield/Newtown Obtuse

                           District 1740 thru 1910. The program will be held at the

                           Brookfield Museum at the intersection of Routes 25

                           and 133 at 7:30 P.M. Admission is free with

September 24   The Brookfield Museum and historical Society will host

Wednesday       a visual presentation on the Stanley Gurski Homestead

                           with aerial photos and historic family pictures. The

                           presentation will take place at 7:30 P.M. at the

                           Brookfield Museum intersection of Routes 25 and 133.

Monday            A Civil War forum on the Battle of Franklin and

                          Nashville at 7:30 P.M. at the Brookfield Museum located

November 1     16th Annual “Festival of Crafts” craft fair hosted by

Saturday          Brookfield Museum and Historical Society will be held

                          at the Whisconier Middle School, 17 West Whisconier
