Chapter 192
Article IV: Removal of Snow, Ice, Sand and Debris from
Private Property

(a) Scope of Section. This section shall be construed to include, but not limited to, any private owner or lawful possessor of property who demands, orders, directs, instructs, requests or allows for any agent(s), employees(s), or independent contractor(s) to remove snow, ice, or debris from private property and said agent(s), employee(s), or independent contractor(s) who removes snow, ice or debris from said private property in such a manner that they are found to have violated subsection (b) of this section.
(b) No person shall, by any manner or method, place or cause to be placed any snow, ice, or debris from any privately owned property onto or into any street, road, public way or sidewalk of the town.
(c) Any person who shall violate this provision or refuse to or neglect to comply with the same, shall be issued a Citation by the Brookfield Police Department and fined the sum of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for each offense. In case of a continuing violation each day’s continuance thereof shall be deemed a separate offense.
The provisions of this ordinance shall become effective on the twenty-first (21) day following its adoption and publication as required by law.
