MAILBOX POLICY

Adopted by the Board of Selectmen

February 28, 2008

If a mailbox and pole are hit directly by the Town’s Snowplow, the Town will reimburse the owner of the property $40.00 for both the pole and mailbox, but the Town will not install either.

If the pole is rotten (to be determine by Road Superintendent), the Town will reimburse the owner of the property $15.00 for the post.

If the mailbox is hit directly by the plow, the Town will reimburse the owner of the property $15.00.

The Town of Brookfield will not replace “special” mailboxes or posts.

As stated above, the Town will not install a mailbox or pole.
